We now have openings for Interns at the sanctuary. Interns receive housing, a stipend and learn marketable skills in:
Sustainable Sanctuary Management
Animal Care and management (with a focus on herds)
Facility design
Ranch Hand skills (fencing, carpentry, plumbing, welding)
Hay farming and irrigation (as it applies to nonprofit sustainability)
Natural Horsemanship ( basic and advanced handling)
Large Animal (technical) Rescue
Wild Life Management as it applies to wild horses (including use of darting techniques)
Off-the-grid living skills and technologies
30 - 60 - 90 day internships available (longer study programs by special arrangement)
Applicants must be able to:
Work in various weather conditions
Perform strenuous physical labor and lifting
Be willing to work holidays or rotating shifts
Follow detailed instructions
Work well with a variety of personalities
Be a team player
Be reliable, dependable and punctual
