Meet three of our herd of 25 wild burros who came from the Sheldon Hart area of Oregon. After the burros had been with us for a few months we turned them out on our range area which was similar to thier native home. As there were seasonal water holes out on the range we did not see the burros except through the binoculars, for nearly a month. They were so happy to be back out in the wild.
At DreamCatcher we try to provide a natural environment for the horses and burros, avoiding the temptation to manage them as domesticated animals in small contained areas. The horses and burros we take in are wild animals and should be treated as thus.
